Over the past year we’ve continued to work on Drutopia development adding some important new elements, such as working with “Skins” to provide more choice in the presentation layer. We’ve also moved into a full stable release and are close to having all the required modules Drupal 9 compatible.
With all that work—and it is all done as volunteers—it is not surprising that the task of updating our own website falls to the bottom of the “to do” list.
But as more time goes by, it is clear that our old site no longer reflects what Drutopia looks like and we want to be able to showcase that, as well as highlighting what different sites built off Drutopia look like.
The new Drutopia site is using a standard skin called Centred that is one of the seven skins currently available, so this will help potential users see what a site could look like out of the box without presentation layer customizations.
Our FAQ section shows off that functionality, and other pages utilize the paragraphs, content types and views which are central to Drutopia’s pre-packaged features.
As with any site built using Drutopia, this site will be a work in progress with new content added on a regular basis. As we need new features, perhaps wanting news articles, for example, we’ll turn them on. This site will expand as we do. So keep an eye on us and welcome to the revamped drutopia.org.
